U13 Red Heat Rose to Significant Challenges

The Durham Attack U13 Red “Heat” rose to some significant challenges in competing at last weekend’s OVA 14U Challenge Cup held in Richmond Hill at Langstaff H.S. After a slow start losing the first game to DRVC, the girls heated up to make a close match of the second game in a losing 26-24 effort. The girls ran into a tough team in the second set losing both games to the North Bay Lakers VC. After a nutritious lunch the Heat was able to notch their first win in game 2 against Cobourg, but ended up losing the set 2 games to 1. Finally, a spirited effort against the Nippissing Wild resulted in a couple more close losses to end the day for the Heat. All in all, a positive result with many lessons learned under challenging circumstances against some tough opponents.
