• Registration Day – Saturday Sept 27th

We will be holding our club registration day, for athletes who tried out and were selected for competitive teams, this Saturday, September 27th at Frenchman’s Bay public school in Pickering.  It is mandatory for both athletes and parents, and we will be providing more information on the club’s program.  You need to attend for your full session.  The sessions are:

    • 9:00 – 10:30 – 13U girls
    • 10:30 – 12:00 – 14U girls and boys
    • 12:00 – 13:30 – 15/16U girls and boys
    • 13:30 – 15:00 – 17/18U girls and boys

The forms to be completed ad Fee Schedule outlining amounts to be paid are provided below.

To register you need to do three things:

    1) Complete the necessary forms

Please print and complete these forms (attached), and bring them with you.

    a)  OVA Registration Form – for athletes and coaches.  When you complete it, we are Region 4.  Your coach can help you fill in your team name, at registration.

    2014-2015 OVA Registration Form

    b)  Athlete Code of Conduct Form

Must be completed by all athletes:  Athlete Code of Conduct

    c)  Parent Code of Conduct Form

Must be completed by all parents of athletes:  Parent Code of Conduct

    d)  Photocopy of the athlete’s birth certificate – this is a requirement of the OVA.

    e)  Athlete information sheet

Must be completed by all athletes, so that we have accurate contact information:  Athlete Information Sheet

    2) Make payment for the season

    a)  Madawaska – if there are any outstanding balances from our teambuilding camps these need to be paid or other arrangements made.

    b)  Registration fees and uniforms.  Our registration fees vary by age group.  Our jerseys and track suits are identical to last year so returning athletes may be able to reuse their existing uniforms.  Our fees are outlined in this Fee Schedule:

    2014-2015 Fee Schedule

Please print the athlete’s name and team clearly on the cheques.

We realize that some families may need to make alternate arrangements.  Please discuss with Larry Skelly or Clare Masson at registration day.  We also have an Athlete Assistance Program that supports families who qualify for external funding programs.  If you wish to discuss either of these options we ask that you submit cheques as per usual but contact our athlete assistance team (AthleteAssistance@durhamattack.ca) as soon as possible to initiate a discussion.

    3) Physical Training

Provide a cheque for $316 payable to ‘Team 12 Training’, date is TBD. Our trainer Mike Slean will be doing an information session at registration to discuss our physical training philosophy and approach, and what this fee covers.

Questions: If you have questions please contact your coach, or the executive.

If you have a conflict then we will have to work out where you can come to bring forms and payment. Please let your coach know that you are missing because of a conflict – this is critical. I will email you.

Hi there, I just wanted to get more info before I come for the registration. My son is 14 and would like to play volleyball. He has done the house league once and has played in school. Is this program for him? Are there different levels for each age group? Or should he be doing the house league again. Thank you in advance and I hope to hear back from you soon.

      Hi,

This is registration day for athletes who tried out for competitive teams and made a team. It sounds like your son missed the tryouts, so he should play house league this year and try out for a competitive team next September.

Our daughter played beach volleyball over the summer and it looked like her OVA registration is valid till the end of August 2015. Does she have to fill out the Individual Registration Form for registration day (and pay the fees again?). Thanks

OVA Registration always expires August 31 and she would have had last year’s registration, which ended Aug 31 2014. Can you tell me where you saw the 2015 date?
