RAGE Proved They Belong in 15U Championship Division

Entering their second 15U Tournament of the year, the Durham Attack Rage (14U) were moved up into the Championship Division!

This tourney would prove to be a litmus test of just how far the girls have progressed as a team. Progress would not be measured by wins and losses this time around but by their compete level against teams that were mostly an age group up and perceived to be higher skilled.

After their warm up game (for a lack of better words) against the Cornwall Vikings, the Rage would be set up to play a long awaited match against the formidable Durham Attack Energy. On paper and as indicated by the OVA rankings, the match was expected by most to be a one sided affair favoring the Energy. Expected by most….but not by those wearing the Rage Jersey or those who have followed the teams progress this year! Tournament by Tournament and game by game this united team just continues to get better and better!

The opening set went back and forth with the Rage holding multiple encouraging leads, although the final result ended in an unfortunate 19-25 loss .The next set the Rage responded ferociously and sent shockwaves through the gymnasium with a dominating performance flipping the table on the Energy with a 25-19 win! The third set seen the Rage jump out front and provided spectators with a glimpse of an upset! The team extremely fought hard and to the final point but ultimately just missed pulling off the win. In many opinions the Rage played one of their best games of the season.

The Rage fantastic play continued throughout the afternoon. The Team’s play turned many heads as they were competitive in each and every match and proved they belong!

By all accounts…..litmus test was completed and the Rage received an A+

Next stop 14U Premier Division!

Way to go Rage!!!!!!!!
