Motivating HAVOK 2.0 all the way to GOLD at the 15U Provincial Cup

Yesterday as HAVOK 2.0 head off to Kingston in the wee hours of the morning for their first 15U OVA tournament of the season, a quote from Mia Hamm – the highly decorated American soccer player, was posted to their facebook page. It stated “Somewhere behind the athlete you’ve become and the hours of practice and the coaches who have pushed you is a little girl who fell in love with the game and never looked back… play for her.” They did just that…

HAVOK 2.0 displayed a love of the game that is so evident in a young athlete who has found her passion, yet a skill and determination to succeed that only comes with dedication and many hours in in the gym refining her skills. Without dropping a single set, the girls captured the GOLD medal in the Championship East Division. The highly anticipated final battle on the court against Storm Vortex, was a highlight for the girls, coaches and supporters alike. HAVOK emerged victorious with a renewed appreciation for the level of competition that Storm provided the girls last year and will most definitely continue to provide in this new season.

It has been said that the more difficult the victory, the greater happiness in winning. Today it is fair to say that HAVOK is VERY happy!!

A quote that I would like to share with Havok
"Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. For your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are. "
