Meet Boys 17U Black Head Coach Clyde Arceneaux

Part of a continuing series introducing DA coaches.  Look for new coaches each day.  Previously we introduced 18U Girls Black Head Coach Dwayne Cochrane, 18U Boys Black head coach Ian Eibbitt, 14U Girls coach Melonie Allin and 13U Girls Black Coach Joel Banbury, 15U Girls Black coach Kevin Hellyer.

Clyde returns to Durham Attack Volleyball this year for a second season. Last year Clyde coached the 16U Red team to a successful season placing in the top four in two tournaments.

Along with volleyball, he has been involved in various other youth sports including coaching soccer, hockey, gymnastics, and other sports as help has been needed over the years.  Clyde is a fully Level 2 certified coach and is currently working on completing his Level 3. Also, Clyde is a Provincial level certified referee, and has completed NCCP training in Rugby, Wrestling, and Gymnastics.

Clyde coached at the University of Calgary Dinos Club program in the 90’s, coaching athletes from 14U to 18U. Healso coached at Sir Winston Churchill High School in Calgary during the 90’s, winning a City Championship. This started while Clyde was completing his Bachelor of Physical Education, and continued afterwards..

Clyde strongly believes that a strong work ethic will make an even stronger volleyball player.
