• INVASION Learns from the Lords

Thanks to our own Coach Carol Hart’s alma mater connections, 14U Team INVASION had the special opportunity to meet, practice and learn with the Durham College Women’s Volleyball Varsity Team in early January. The Lords, ranked second in the east division and 3rd in Ontario (OCAA)  and led by Head Coach Tony Clarke, spent a full practice working with the girls on drills and playing scrimmages.

The DC lady Lords were fantastic hosts, showing the girls not only their amazing skills, but also a strong comraderie amongst the teammates and a true love of the game! Our INVASION athletes were in awe during the entire session, learned a ton, and to top if off, made some new friends and mentors. Thanks Coach Clarke for the great session you provided – it was a great learning experience for everyone, and just a whole lot of fun!

And thanks of course to Coach Carol – an All-Canadian All-Star Athlete at Durham College – how cool to see her banner hanging in the gym and her pic on the Wall of Fame! How inspiring is that!

The team followed-up the practice by cheering on both the women and men’s Lords teams when they both handily beat their opponents in their last tournament. Both teams displayed exceptional skills and the intensity was high! It was so great to all be there together, with Coach Carol and Coach Don in the stands,  and Coach Gord refereering the games.

INVASION  – be thankful for all the amazing people and experience that surround and support you 🙂

Thanks again, DC Lords – hope to meet again soon!

    Go INVASION Go!
