Hurricanes 13U girls collect for Toy Mountain

The Durham Attack Hurricanes 13U girls team are giving back to the community this holiday season through their support of the 2017 CTV Toy Mountain Drive benefiting the Salvation Army.

The team collected new, unwrapped toys, sports equipment, grooming aids, and other items that will be distributed to children and teens across the GTA over the holiday season. Those items were added to Toy Mountain at the the City of Pickering’s annual tree lighting event which was featured during the CTV News Toronto 6PM broadcast on December 1.

The girls were front and center during several live hits throughout the news hour. Hurricane team member Suzy F. was interviewed by CTV Toronto weather anchor Tom Brown. She told viewers that the Durham Attack were there “To give back to the community and collect gifts so that the less fortunate can have a happy and joyful Christmas”.
