Girls 16U Black Coach – Chris Williamson

Girls 16U Black Coach – Chris Williamson

Part of a continuing series introducing DA coaches.  Look for new coaches each day.  Previously we introduced 18U Girls Black Head Coach Dwayne Cochrane, 18U Boys Black head coach Ian Eibbitt, 13U Girls coach Melonie Allin and 14U Girls Black Coach Joel Banbury, 15U Girls Black coach Kevin Hellyer, and Boys 17U Black coach Clyde Arceneaux.

A teacher with the Durham District School Board, Chris has been with the Durham Attack Volleyball Club from the very start. As a twenty-year coaching veteran, Chris has coached in all divisions of the competitive program and his teams have won too many Provincial and National championships to count, with the latest being our 2014 16U girls Ontario and Canadian championship. Prior to that Chris has coached numerous teams to Provincial and National titles.

He has served as Assistant Coach at the University of Guelph, assisted with the Ontario Provincial B team, and travelled to Winnipeg as a guest coach with the Youth National team.

He is also the founder of the Durham Attack House League program and Summer Camp which provides a recreational volleyball program for more than 500 athletes per season.

He is particularly adept at coaching at the 16U age level. If history is any indicator, this years 16U teams are going to be definite national contenders and again the teams to beat in Ontario.
