• Evan Williams Assuming Technical Director Role for 2015-2016

Durham Attack is pleased to announce that Evan Williams has assumed the role of Technical Director for the club for the 2015-2016 season. We have been planning this addition to our club for a number of months and are excited about the impact it will have on our program and the growth of our athletes.

Evan has a long history of coaching within the club and at the Provincial level. A veteran Durham Attack coach for many years, Evan has led many teams to both East and West National Championships, at ages ranging from 14U to 18U. Last season Evan coached our 17U girls team to the Canadian National Championship. Among his other national wins, Evan also coached our ‘Big Black’ girls team to 4 of their 7 straight Canadian National Championships.

He is stepping back from coaching to assume this important role. Evan will be dedicated to our club goal of developing the whole athlete, and will work with our coaches and executive to ensure that our athletes at every level receive the best technical training available.

He has experience working at all levels and ages. Evan has been a head and assistant coach with Team Ontario multiple times, as well as an assistant coach with the Youth National Team. At the OUA level, Evan has acted as assistant coach at the University of Waterloo and the University of Western Ontario. He and his wife Amy also have three young athletes of their own, Maggie, Owen and Sophie, and Evan has been coaching their hockey, soccer and lacrosse. As Evan says “It has been invigorating and refreshing to work with young athletes at the grass roots level!”

We’re excited to kick off our season with Evan in this critical role. Please welcome Evan.
