The Durham Attack 14U Crush girls recently spent an evening bodyflying at the iFly indoor skydiving facility in Whitby.
After some instruction on hand signals (it’s loud inside the silo) and getting fitted with flight gear, the girls took flight one-on-one with a flight instructor who helped them keep their balance and experience the sensation of skydiving while being suspended by a giant lift fan in the floor of the silo.
Each player had two two-minute “flights”, with parents, coaches and siblings looking on. Needless to say, everyone had a great time.
Jeff Gunn, an Attack parent and pro photographer, was on hand to capture the experience. iFly also provided photos and video of the girls’ flights.
