The Centennial College Child and Youth Care program has once again partnered with The Children’s Breakfast Club, Toronto Police and Durham Regional Police to coordinate a Winter Coat Drive and would like Durham Attack Volleyball Club’s support! Last year’s event had participation from all 19 teams!
Last year’s Coat Drive was so successful, now, all of Ontario will benefit from this initiative with local police stations supporting the Coat Drive.
Please reach out to your team to discuss participating in this Coat Drive as a Club “Give-Back” initiative. Each athlete/family can donate new or gently used winter coats, hats, gloves, boots prior to November 20, the Parent Reps could collect the donations and bring them to Team 12 on Sunday, November 20. I will be collecting the donations throughout the day between 11:00am and 6pm. Mike Slean has offered to hold onto items of Team 12 Participants of the early and late training sessions. Items can also be dropped off during the Girls 16U Red practices at Frenchman’s Bay Public School, 8:15-10:15, on Tuesday, November 22 and at Pickering High School, 8-10, on Thursday, November 24. If possible, please try to bag and label your donations according to size as this assists with the sorting process. Hats, gloves, scarves, winter footwear is also appreciated and REMEMBER TO TAKE A PHOTO OF YOUR TEAM WITH THEIR DONATIONS!”
