15U Reds Fight Hard in Markham 16U Tournament

The 15U Girls Red team traveled to Markham for the 16U Provincial Cup on November 27.

In the first match of the day they faced a 16U squad from the Scarborough Titans. The Attack girls got off to a bit of a sleepy start, dropping the first set. But then hit their stride in the second set and went on to dominate in the tie-breaker.

Next the Red girls took on a 16U Toronto Unity team, taking this game in straight sets to finish atop their pool.

After a long break, Attack took on Scarborough Titans Elevation. It was a hard fought game with Titans taking the first set. But Attack wouldn’t roll over, and came out with a strong performance in the second set. Unfortunately they seemed to fall flat in the tie-breaker.

In their final game the Red girls took on the Thundercats and once again dropped the first set but rallied back to take the second. They fought through three close sets but fell short in the third.

And as they took their first step into 16U action this season the Attack girls showed a lot of grit and a never-give-up attitude. It sets them up well as they head to their first 15U tournament this coming weekend.
