• 15U Girls Durham Attack Black Perfectly Golden at Nationals

The 15U Girls Black team went to Nationals on a high note after winning gold at Provincials but they knew that they would be facing new challenges in the form of higher ranked teams form Ontario and other provinces. It turned out that the team grit and determination they developed over the season and through a tough Provincial Championship would serve them well.

They had obviously had enough of three sets matches at Provincials and took their first two matches in pool play in 2 sets. They were not pushed until their third match of the day but took the final set in a convincing 15-8 win.

The day two Power Pools brought new challenges for the team and they overcame them all winning every match. The highlight of the day was their second match that could barely have been any closer with Attack winning 23-25, 25-22, 15-13.

Once again, there was no stopping Durham Attack in the playoffs and they won their quarter-final and semi-final matches in two sets. The team won the first set of the Gold Medal game in convincing fashion 25-12 but it looked like the match was going to three sets with Attack down 11-19 in the second set. Once again they turned it on and came storming back to win the set and the Gold with a final score of 25-23.

Congratulations to all the girls on the team for a successful season but most importantly for continuing to grow as a team and as individuals throughout the year. Many thanks to the coaches who committed so much of their own time to teach and mentor the girls this season. Thank you to all the parents who volunteered to support the team in various roles and to all the parents, siblings, family members, and friends who were great fans cheering on the team throughout the season.
